I have been using computers for almost thirty years. In this time there have been many changes to the systems we see and use today. For instance, I remember when a 25 Megabytes disk was huge, today we deal with Gigabytes and Terabytes. My career has been spent in a variety of business settings. I built a manufacturing company and oversaw the design of our custom programming applications. After selling this business I start up a software developing company with the focus of remote connectivity for the home furnishing industry. With a background in UNIX operating systems (OS), the introduction of Linux as a viable OS, led the way for me to be an early adopter and advocate in the Linux community. This led to my taking a position at MNSCU, the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities. I am very happy to now take on the role as the Director of Technology here at St. Hubert Catholic Community.
